Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further.

NeverTooManyBooks ships with connectors for more than eighteen external book data sources ranging from national library catalogues to regional comics shops. Each connector is an independent search engine that can be switched on or off, given a custom priority position, and further tuned through its own settings page. This reference documents every engine, what it covers, and anything special you need to know to get the best results from it.

Managing Site Settings

To reach the site list, open Settings → Search → Websites. From there you can:
  • Toggle a site on or off using the switch next to each row. Disabled sites are never queried.
  • Reorder sites by dragging to set search priority. Sites higher in the list are queried first and their field values take precedence in the metadata merge (first non-empty value wins).
  • Open a site’s own settings page by tapping the menu button (⋮) on any row. Site-specific settings include changing the default URL and, for sites that require a login, entering credentials.
Start with a small set of high-quality sites for your collection’s main language, then add specialist catalogues (ISFDB, Bedetheque, StripInfo) only if you collect those genres. Fewer active sites means faster searches.

Amazon is increasingly blocking automated access. If you see Amazon-specific errors (timeouts, empty results, or HTTP 503 responses), disable the affected Amazon domain in Settings → Search → Websites and report the issue on the GitHub tracker. This is an ongoing external constraint and not a bug in the app.
