Your availability status determines whether you receive trip requests from passengers. Understanding how to manage your status effectively helps you maximize earnings while maintaining work-life balance.

Status Types

Accepting Trip RequestsWhen online:
  • You appear in nearby driver searches
  • You receive trip request notifications
  • Your location is tracked and updated
  • You can accept trips from passengers
Being online doesn’t guarantee trips, but you must be online to receive requests.

Going Online

Location Requirements

To go online, location services must be enabled:

Android

  1. Settings > Location > On
  2. Grant Viax Precise Location permission
  3. Enable Location in Background
  4. Disable Battery Optimization for location accuracy

iOS

  1. Settings > Privacy > Location Services > On
  2. Find Viax app
  3. Select Always or While Using
  4. Enable Precise Location
Without location access, you cannot go online or accept trips.

Auto-Offline Features

The system may automatically set you offline if:
  • No trip accepted in 2 hours while online
  • Helps conserve battery and data
  • You’ll receive notification before auto-offline
  • Can go back online anytime
  • GPS signal lost for extended period
  • App loses internet connection
  • Automatically goes offline to prevent issues
  • Returns online when connection restored
  • SOAT or technical inspection expires
  • License expiration
  • Forced offline until documents renewed
  • Must update documents to go back online
  • Account suspended by admin
  • Low rating or policy violations
  • Cannot go online until resolved
  • Contact support for details

Acceptance Settings

While online, configure trip acceptance preferences:

This feature is not recommended for new drivers.

Cons:
  • Cannot review trip details first
  • May accept unfavorable trips
  • Less control over selections

Online status uses mobile data:

  • Push notifications: Minimal
Estimated: 30-50MB per hour online
Connect to WiFi when parked to conserve mobile data.
