Manage your product catalog, inventory, pricing, and special promotions through the Products administration panel.

Accessing Products

Navigate to Admin Panel > Products to view your complete product catalog. The products list shows:
  • Product image
  • Product name
  • Category and brand
  • Current price
  • Stock level (color-coded: red for out of stock, yellow for low stock, green for adequate stock)
  • Status badges (Featured, New, On Sale)

Adding a New Product

Open the New Product form

Click the + New Product button in the top right corner.

Fill in basic information

  • Name: Product name (required)
  • Description: Detailed product description
  • Price (COP): Product price in Colombian pesos (required)
  • Stock: Available quantity (required)

Select category and brand

  • Category: Choose from the dropdown (required)
  • Brand: Choose from the dropdown (required)

Upload images

  • Click Choose Files and select one or more product images
  • Multiple images will create a product gallery
  • At least one image is required

Set special status (optional)

Check ¿Producto en oferta? to mark the product as on sale.

Save the product

Click Save Product to add the product to your catalog.
Products marked as “On Sale” can have an expiration date set. After the expiration date, the offer badge will change to “Oferta vencida” (Expired offer).

Editing Existing Products

Locate the product

Use the search bar (🔍 icon) to find products by name, or scroll through the list.

Open the edit form

Click the Edit button next to the product you want to modify.

Update product information

All fields from the creation form are available:
  • Name, description, price, stock
  • Category and brand
  • Offer status

Add or replace images

  • Select new images to add to the gallery
  • Existing images are displayed below the upload field
  • New images will be added to the existing gallery

Save changes

Click Save Changes to update the product.
The edit modal shows a preview of the current product images and the complete gallery. You can review all existing images before uploading new ones.

Product Status Badges

Products can display multiple status badges:
  • ⭐ Destacado (Featured): Highlighted products that appear prominently
  • NUEVO (New): Products marked with a “new until” date that hasn’t expired
  • OFERTA (On Sale): Products currently on sale
  • Oferta vencida (Expired offer): Products with expired sale dates

Stock Management

Stock levels are color-coded in the product list:
  • 🔴 Red badge: 0 units (out of stock)
  • 🟡 Yellow badge: 1-5 units (low stock warning)
  • 🟢 Green badge: 6+ units (adequate stock)
Stock is automatically adjusted when orders are processed. See Inventory Management for detailed stock tracking.

Deleting Products

Click Delete

Click the Delete button next to the product you want to remove.

Confirm deletion

A confirmation dialog will appear showing the product name.

Complete deletion

Confirm to permanently delete the product and all associated images.
Deleting a product is permanent and will:
  • Remove the product from the catalog
  • Delete all product images from the server
  • Remove all gallery images associated with the product
  • This action cannot be undone

Searching Products

Use the search bar at the top of the products list to filter by product name in real-time. The search works instantly as you type.

Tips for Product Management

Image best practices:
  • Use high-quality images with a white or neutral background
  • Multiple angles help customers make informed decisions
  • Keep images under 2MB for faster loading
Pricing strategy:
  • Update prices regularly based on supplier costs
  • Use the offer feature for temporary promotions
  • Set realistic stock levels to avoid overselling
Categorization:
  • Ensure products are in the correct category for easy customer navigation
  • Keep brand information consistent for filtering and search
