The Reviews panel provides tools to monitor customer feedback, track product ratings, and manage review content.

Accessing Reviews

Navigate to Admin Panel > Reviews to view all customer reviews. The reviews section includes:
  • Statistics dashboard with key metrics
  • Filtering tools by product and rating
  • Complete review list with customer details
  • Actions to view or delete reviews

Review Statistics Dashboard

At the top of the page, four stat cards provide an overview:

⭐ Total Reviews

The total number of customer reviews submitted across all products.

📈 Global Average

The average star rating across all reviews (1-5 stars). This gives you a snapshot of overall customer satisfaction.

👍 Positive Reviews (4-5★)

Count of reviews with 4 or 5 stars, indicating satisfied customers.

👎 Negative Reviews (1-2★)

Count of reviews with 1 or 2 stars, indicating customers who had issues or concerns.
Monitor the ratio of positive to negative reviews. A high percentage of negative reviews may indicate product quality issues or unmet customer expectations.

Filtering Reviews

Use the filter bar to narrow down reviews:

Filter by Product

  1. Click the Todos los productos (All products) dropdown
  2. Select a specific product to see only its reviews
  3. The dropdown shows only products that have received reviews

Filter by Star Rating

  1. Click the Todas las ★ (All stars) dropdown
  2. Select a specific rating from 5 estrella to 1 estrella
  3. View only reviews matching that rating

Combine Filters

You can filter by both product and rating simultaneously to find specific feedback.

Clear Filters

Click the Limpiar (Clear) button to reset all filters and view all reviews.
Quick filtering strategies:
  • View 1-2 star reviews first to address customer concerns
  • Filter by specific products after launches to gauge reception
  • Check 5-star reviews for testimonials and positive feedback

Searching Reviews

Use the search bar in the top right to search review content in real-time. The search filters reviews as you type.

Understanding the Review Table

Each review row displays:

Product Column

  • Small product thumbnail image
  • Product name (linked to product page)
  • Click the product name to view it on the storefront

User Column

  • Customer name who wrote the review
  • Customer email address
  • Helps identify the reviewer and contact if needed

Rating Column

  • Visual star display (★★★★★)
  • Filled stars (yellow) show the rating
  • Empty stars (gray) complete the 5-star scale

Review Text Column

  • Title: Bold review headline (if provided)
  • Comment: Review text content
  • Long reviews are truncated with ellipsis (…)
  • Up to 3 lines visible

Images Column

  • Thumbnail previews of customer-uploaded images
  • Click any image to view full-size in a new tab
  • Dash () shown if no images attached

Date Column

  • Date in DD/MM/YYYY format
  • Time in HH:MM format (24-hour)
  • Shows when the review was submitted

Actions Column

  • Ver (View) button: Opens the product page with review highlighted
  • Eliminar (Delete) button: Removes the review

Viewing Reviews in Context

Click View

Click the blue Ver (View) button next to any review.

Review opens on product page

The product page opens in a new tab, scrolled to the reviews section.

Review is visible with context

See the review alongside other reviews and the product details.
Viewing reviews on the product page helps you understand the customer experience and see what other customers are saying about the same product.

Deleting Reviews

Click Delete

Click the red Eliminar (Delete) button next to the review.

Confirm deletion

A confirmation dialog appears showing a preview of the review text.

Complete deletion

Click Sí, eliminar (Yes, delete) to permanently remove the review.
Deleting a review:
  • Permanently removes the review from the database
  • Deletes all customer-uploaded images associated with the review
  • Removes image files from the server
  • Cannot be undone
  • May affect product ratings and averages

When to Delete Reviews

Consider deleting reviews that:
  • ✅ Contain profanity or inappropriate language
  • ✅ Include personal attacks or harassment
  • ✅ Are spam or fake reviews
  • ✅ Contain false information about the product
  • ✅ Violate your terms of service
  • ✅ Are duplicate submissions
Do not delete reviews simply because they are negative. Authentic negative feedback provides valuable insights and maintains customer trust. Only remove reviews that violate policies.

Review Images

Customers can upload images with their reviews:
  • Viewing: Click any thumbnail to open full-size in a new tab
  • Storage: Images are stored on your server
  • Deletion: Images are automatically deleted when the review is deleted
  • Format: Customers can upload standard image formats (JPG, PNG, etc.)
Customer images provide visual proof of product quality and usage. Encourage customers to upload images for more authentic reviews.

Review Rating Distribution

The statistics at the top show you how reviews are distributed:
5 stars: [count] reviews
4 stars: [count] reviews
3 stars: [count] reviews
2 stars: [count] reviews
1 star:  [count] reviews
This helps you understand:
  • Overall customer satisfaction trends
  • Whether most reviews are polarized (very positive or very negative)
  • Products that may need improvement
A healthy distribution typically shows more 4-5 star reviews than 1-3 star reviews. A large number of 3-star reviews may indicate “average” products that could be improved.

Using Review Data

Product Improvement

  • Read negative reviews to identify common complaints
  • Look for patterns in multiple reviews about the same issue
  • Use feedback to improve product descriptions and images
  • Address technical issues mentioned by customers

Customer Service

  • Reach out to customers who left negative reviews
  • Thank customers who leave positive feedback
  • Use email addresses to follow up on concerns
  • Resolve issues to potentially get reviews updated

Marketing & Sales

  • Highlight positive reviews in marketing materials
  • Use 5-star reviews as testimonials
  • Showcase customer images in product galleries
  • Feature highly-rated products prominently

Inventory Decisions

  • Products with consistently low ratings may need to be discontinued
  • High-rated products deserve more prominent placement
  • Customer feedback can guide which products to stock more of
Weekly review routine:
  1. Check new reviews (sort by date)
  2. Respond to negative reviews promptly
  3. Identify patterns or recurring issues
  4. Update product information based on feedback
  5. Remove any reviews that violate policies

Best Practices

Encourage authentic reviews:
  • Request reviews from verified purchasers
  • Make the review process easy and accessible
  • Don’t incentivize only positive reviews
  • Display reviews prominently on product pages
Respond to feedback:
  • While you can’t reply directly in this panel, reach out via email
  • Thank customers for positive reviews
  • Address concerns in negative reviews professionally
  • Show customers you value their input
Monitor regularly:
  • Check reviews daily or weekly depending on volume
  • Set up alerts for new reviews (if available)
  • Track average ratings over time
  • Use review data in product planning meetings
Maintain transparency:
  • Don’t delete negative reviews unless they violate policies
  • Allow customers to see authentic feedback
  • Use criticism constructively to improve
  • Build trust by being honest about product limitations

Review Moderation Policy

Establish clear guidelines for when to remove reviews:
  1. Prohibited content: Hate speech, profanity, threats
  2. Spam: Promotional content, irrelevant reviews
  3. Fake reviews: Suspected fake or paid reviews
  4. Personal information: Reviews containing private data
  5. Off-topic: Reviews about shipping/service (not the product)
