Every trip you log is stored as a route record tied to a specific vehicle. KilomeTracker accumulates those distances automatically so your total mileage is always up to date.

Logging a route

1

Open the Add Route form

From the sidebar, click Add Route. You can also reach it from the dashboard by selecting a vehicle and clicking Add Route.
2

Select a vehicle

Choose the vehicle alias from the dropdown. Only active vehicles appear in the list.
3

Enter the distance

Type the distance covered in the Distance (km) field (distanciaRecorrida). Use the actual kilometers driven for this trip — not the odometer reading.
4

Set the date

Pick the trip date (fecha) using the date picker. It defaults to today.
5

Add notes (optional)

Use the Additional notes field (notasAdicionales) to record anything relevant — route description, purpose, passengers, or road conditions.
6

Save the route

Click Save Route. The record is created immediately and your vehicle’s kilometrajeTotal is updated.

Routes history

The Routes History page lists every route across all your vehicles. You can filter the list to find specific records quickly.

On mobile, tap Filters to open the filter panel from the bottom of the screen. On desktop, the filter panel appears as a card above the results table.

Mobile vs. desktop views

  • Mobile: each route appears as a card showing the vehicle alias, distance, date, and any notes.
  • Desktop: routes are displayed in a full-width table with sortable columns.

Mileage accumulation

Every saved route automatically adds distanciaRecorrida to the vehicle’s kilometrajeTotal. You do not need to update the odometer manually. The running total is visible on the vehicle card in the dashboard and on the Vehicle Statistics page.
Log routes as soon as possible after each trip so your mileage total stays accurate and your fuel efficiency calculations reflect real driving patterns.

Editing a route

To correct a distance or date, open Routes History, find the route, and click the edit icon. All fields can be updated after creation.

Deleting a route

Route deletion is permanent. There is no soft delete or undo — once a route is deleted, the record is gone and the mileage is not automatically subtracted from your vehicle’s kilometrajeTotal.
To delete a route, open Routes History and click the delete icon on the route card (mobile) or table row (desktop). Confirm the action in the dialog.
