V-Extended is a fan-made Polymod modpack for Friday Night Funkin’ V-Slice, created by misterfnflover787. It plugs directly into the game’s built-in mod loader and adds a dedicated V-Extended page to the in-game Options menu, giving players fine-grained control over their gameplay experience — no source code edits, no engine rebuilds required. Whether you want to eliminate accidental miss penalties with ghost tapping, clean up your screen with middlescroll, or keep track of song progress with a polished time bar, V-Extended bundles all of those improvements into a single, easy-to-enable modpack.
V-Extended requires Friday Night Funkin’ V-Slice — the official Polymod-compatible release of the game. It will not work with older builds of FNF that do not include Polymod mod support.

Features

Ghost Tapping

Prevents empty direction presses from counting as misses. When enabled, tapping a lane with no incoming note simply does nothing instead of penalising your run.

Middlescroll

Centers the player’s note lanes in the middle of the screen and splits the opponent’s notes to either side, reducing visual clutter and eye movement during play.

Opponent Notes Opacity

Adjusts the transparency of the opponent’s receptors, notes, and sustain trails from fully visible (100 %) down to completely hidden (0 %), in 5 % steps.

Strumline Background

Adds a dark gray lane background rendered above the game scene and below the HUD, making the note lanes stand out clearly against busy or bright stage backgrounds.

Song Progress Time Bar

Displays a progress bar above the strumline showing how far through the current song you are. The label text is configurable: song name, song name + difficulty, time elapsed, time remaining, or nothing.

Detailed Score Counter

Replaces the standard score readout with a full breakdown showing your score, missed note count, accuracy percentage, and a Freeplay-style rank letter (P, E, G, or L), all rendered in the VCR bitmap font.

Options in Pause Menu

Injects an Options entry into the standard pause menu. Selecting it opens the Options screen mid-song; leaving Options reloads the current song from the beginning so your new settings take effect immediately.

Botplay in Pause

Adds an Enable Botplay / Disable Botplay button to the pause menu, letting you toggle the built-in Botplay mode on the fly without returning to the song select screen.

Editions

V-Extended ships in two separate editions — one tuned for desktop play and one for mobile. Both editions are built on the same Polymod api version (0.8.0) and are maintained by the same author, but they are packaged independently and should never be enabled at the same time.
EditionFolderVersion
V-Extended (PC)PC_modpack/1.4.5
V-Extended MobileMobile_modpack/1.2.1
The PC edition (PC_modpack) is the primary release and receives feature updates first. It includes the full set of options described above and stores all preferences under the save key vExtended inside Friday Night Funkin’s built-in mod save system. The Mobile edition (Mobile_modpack) is a lightweight counterpart designed for the touch-screen layout of mobile V-Slice builds. It carries the same Polymod api version and is installed the same way. Ghost tapping and middlescroll are not available in the Mobile edition; all other options are present and adjusted to suit smaller screens and touch input.
