Verano Regional is a comprehensive management platform designed for regional scientific research summer programs. It automates the full lifecycle of program participation: from student and researcher registration with OTP email verification, through project proposals and prioritized applications, to automated student-project allocation and certificate generation.

Quick Start

Get your account set up and complete your first action in minutes

Installation

Deploy Verano Regional locally with Apache, PHP, and MySQL

User Roles

Understand the five roles: Student, Researcher, Coordinators, and Admin

Registration

OTP-verified sign-up for students, researchers, and coordinators

How the platform works

Verano Regional organizes program participation into time-gated phases managed by the administrator. Each summer period defines windows for project creation, application submission, allocation, report upload, and certificate issuance.
1

Register and verify your account

New users verify their institutional email with a one-time password (OTP) before completing their profile as a student, researcher, or coordinator.
2

Researchers propose projects

Researchers submit research projects during the open proposal window. Campus or institutional coordinators validate proposals before they become visible to students.
3

Students browse and apply

Students explore the project catalog, apply to up to five projects, and rank them by priority order to indicate their preferences.
4

Automatic allocation runs

The administrator triggers the allocation algorithm, which assigns students to projects based on GPA, career progress percentage, application priority, and project capacity.
5

Reports and certificates

Assigned students upload progress reports reviewed by their researcher. Upon successful completion, the platform generates participation certificates automatically.
