The Set Viewer allows you to browse all available expansion sets for Star Trek Attack Wing and view the complete card contents of each set.

Accessing the Set Viewer

From the Utopia homepage, click the Set Viewer LCARS button to access the expansion set browser.

Interface Overview

The Set Viewer is divided into two main panels:
  • Set List (left): Scrollable list of all expansion sets
  • Card Display (right): Visual display of all cards in the selected set

Browsing Sets

View the set list

The left panel displays all expansion sets in reverse chronological order (newest first). Each entry shows:
  • Parent Set name (e.g., “Wave 1”, “Starter Set”)
  • Expansion name (e.g., “U.S.S. Enterprise”, “Core Set”)

Select a set

Click any set name in the list. The selected set is highlighted to indicate your current selection.

View cards

The right panel updates to show all cards included in the selected expansion, displayed as full card images.

Browse another set

Click a different set name to view its contents. The display updates immediately.

Set List Organization

Expansion sets are organized and displayed by: Parent Set Categories:
  • Starter Sets: Core game boxes with complete starting content
  • Wave Releases: Numbered waves of expansion packs (Wave 1, Wave 2, etc.)
  • Special Releases: Premium ships, organized play kits, promotional items
  • Faction Packs: Faction-specific expansion collections
  • Builder: Special cards created for the fleet builder
Release Order: Sets appear in reverse chronological order, with the most recent releases at the top of the list.
Use your browser’s search function (Ctrl+F or Cmd+F) to quickly find a specific expansion by name.

Viewing Set Contents

When you select a set, the card display shows:

Set Header

The top of the card display shows:
  • Parent Set category
  • Expansion name
Example: “Wave 3: I.R.W. Valdore”

Card Display

Cards are displayed as full-size, high-quality images in a multi-column layout: Card Types Shown:
  • Ship Cards: Both unique named ships and generic class cards
  • Captain Cards: With skill values and abilities
  • Admiral Cards: Fleet-wide command upgrades
  • Ambassador Cards: Diplomatic upgrade cards
  • Upgrade Cards: Crew, weapons, tech, talents, Borg upgrades
  • Resource Cards: Fleet resources and special mechanics
  • Token Cards: Reference cards for special tokens or mechanics
For unique ships, both the named ship card and its generic class card are displayed together.

Special Card Types

Token Information Cards: Some cards have associated token reference cards that explain special mechanics. These are displayed alongside the main card. Dual-Sided Cards: Cards with special token effects show both the front card and the token information.

Understanding Set Contents

Expansion packs typically include:
Standard ship expansions contain:
  • 1 Pre-painted ship miniature (not shown in Set Viewer)
  • 1-2 Ship cards (unique and/or generic)
  • 1-2 Captain cards
  • 4-8 Upgrade cards (crew, weapons, tech)
  • Maneuver dial and token sheet (not shown)
  • Card stand and pegs (not shown)
The Set Viewer displays all cards included in the expansion.
Core sets contain:
  • Multiple ship miniatures
  • Numerous ship, captain, and upgrade cards
  • Rules and scenario booklets
  • All basic game components
  • Dice, tokens, templates
The Set Viewer shows all unique cards from the set.
Large expansion collections with:
  • 3-5 ships
  • Multiple captains per faction
  • Faction-specific upgrade cards
  • Special faction mechanics
All cards from the pack are viewable.
Special releases featuring:
  • Alternate paint schemes
  • Exclusive cards
  • Limited edition content
Shows all exclusive cards included.

Using the Set Viewer for Collection Management

The Set Viewer helps you:

Track Your Collection

  • View what cards come in each expansion
  • Identify which sets contain cards you need
  • Plan future purchases based on card contents
  • Verify your collection is complete

Research Before Buying

Find a card you want

Use the Fleet Builder to search for specific cards and note which sets they appear in.

View the complete set

Check the Set Viewer to see all other cards in that expansion.

Evaluate the purchase

Decide if the complete set offers good value for your needs.

Update Fleet Builder Filters

Use the Set Viewer in conjunction with Fleet Builder expansion filters:
  1. Review which sets you own using the Set Viewer
  2. In Fleet Builder, access Advanced filters
  3. Navigate to “Owned Expansions”
  4. Uncheck sets you don’t own
  5. Your Fleet Builder search will now only show cards you have access to
Keep the Set Viewer open in a separate tab while using the Fleet Builder to quickly reference set contents.

Card Details

While the Set Viewer displays full card images, you can see even more detail in the Fleet Builder:
  • Hover over cards in the Fleet Builder for pop-up previews
  • Read full card text and abilities
  • See card stats (attack, agility, hull, shields)
  • View upgrade slot icons and requirements

Starter Sets and Core Sets

Base Sets: Complete game in a box
  • Original Core Set
  • Starter Set variations
  • Includes rules, ships, and essential cards

Wave Releases

Regular Expansions: Numbered waves released over time
  • Wave 0 through Wave 30+
  • Each wave contains multiple ship expansions
  • Released 3-6 packs per wave

Faction-Specific Sets

Large Faction Collections:
  • Collective (Borg)
  • Resistance is Futile (Borg)
  • Blood Oath (Klingon)
  • The Secrets of the Tal Shiar (Romulan)
  • To Boldly Go (Federation)
  • Live Long and Prosper (Vulcan)
  • The Cardassian Union

Special Releases

Premium and Promotional:

Set Viewing Tips

Open multiple browser windows or tabs to compare the contents of different expansions.
Take screenshots of set contents to reference while shopping or trading.
Look for token reference cards in expansions that introduce new mechanics.
View multiple sets from the same faction to identify upgrade synergies.
Compare early wave releases with later waves to see how card power evolved.

Cards vs. Physical Components

The Set Viewer displays only the cards included in each expansion. Physical components like miniatures, tokens, maneuver dials, and templates are not shown.

Finding Specific Cards

To locate which set contains a specific card:

Use Fleet Builder search

Search for the card name in the Fleet Builder’s search box.

Enable set names

In Fleet Builder’s export options, enable “Show Set Names” to see which expansion each card is from.

Open Set Viewer

Navigate to Set Viewer and locate the expansion.

Verify contents

Scroll through the set’s cards to verify it contains what you need.

Technical Notes

Image Loading: The Set Viewer loads high-resolution card images on demand. Images may take a moment to load on slower connections. Browser Compatibility: The Set Viewer works in all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Mobile Support: The Set Viewer is fully functional on mobile devices, with touch-friendly list selection and scrollable card displays.
