Overview

The Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) interface provides tools for officers to manage their on-duty activities, conduct searches, create records, and coordinate with dispatch and other units.

Getting Started

Creating Your Officer

Navigate to My Officers

Go to OfficerMy Officers from the main navigation.

Create Officer

Click Create Officer and fill in the details:
  • Select a citizen to base the officer on
  • Choose department and division
  • Select badge number
  • Upload officer image (optional)

Set Callsign

Your callsign will be generated based on your department’s configuration.

Going On-Duty

Access Officer Dashboard

Navigate to the Officer page from the main navigation.

Select Officer

Click Select Officer and choose which officer to go on-duty with.

Set Initial Status

Choose your initial 10-code status (e.g., 10-8 for available).

View Dashboard

You’re now on-duty and can see active calls, units, and warrants.
Only one officer can be on-duty at a time per user.

Changing Status

Update your status to communicate your availability and current activity:

Access Status Area

Your current status is displayed in the status area of the utility panel.

Select New Status

Click on the status dropdown and select a new 10-code.

Add Notes

Optionally add notes about your status change.
Common status codes:
  • 10-8 - Available for calls
  • 10-7 - Out of service
  • 10-6 - Busy
  • 10-97 - Arrived on scene
  • 10-23 - Arrived at scene
Your CAD administrator can configure custom 10-codes specific to your department.

Search Functions

Search for citizens to view their records and information:

Open Name Search

Click Name Search in the utility panel.

Enter Search Criteria

Search by:
  • First name and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Social Security Number (if enabled)

View Results

Select a citizen from the results to view:
  • Personal information
  • License status (driver’s, pilot, weapon, etc.)
  • Active warrants
  • Criminal records
  • Registered vehicles
  • Registered weapons
From the search results, you can:
  • Create arrest reports, tickets, or written warnings
  • Create warrants
  • View detailed records
  • See flags or alerts on the citizen
Run a plate check on vehicles:

Open Plate Search

Click Plate Search in the utility panel.

Enter Plate Number

Type the vehicle’s license plate number or VIN.

View Results

Review information including:
  • Owner name and details
  • Vehicle make, model, and color
  • Registration status
  • Insurance status
  • DMV status (if enabled)
  • Vehicle flags or alerts
Search for registered weapons:

Open Weapon Search

Click Weapon Search in the utility panel.

Enter Serial Number

Input the weapon’s serial number.

View Registration

See the weapon’s registration details and owner information.
Look up business information:
  • Business name and owner
  • Business address
  • License status
  • Employees

Traffic Stops and Records

Creating a Traffic Stop Record

Search for Citizen

Use Name Search or Plate Search to find the person you’ve stopped.

Choose Record Type

From the search results, select:
  • Written Warning - For minor infractions
  • Ticket - For citable offenses
  • Arrest Report - For arrests

Select Violations

Choose violations from the penal code list.

Add Details

Enter:
  • Notes about the stop
  • Location
  • Postal code (if required)
  • Officer narrative

Set Penalties

For arrests:
  • Set jail time
  • Add fines
  • Determine if the person should be jailed immediately

Create Record

Click Create to save the record to the citizen’s history.
All records are permanently stored and viewable by authorized personnel.

Warrant Management

Creating a Warrant

Open Warrant Modal

Click Create Warrant in the utility panel, or create from a name search result.

Select Citizen

Choose the citizen the warrant is for.

Enter Details

  • Description - Reason for the warrant
  • Status - Active or Inactive

Create Warrant

The warrant will appear in the active warrants list.

Viewing Active Warrants

The Active Warrants section on your dashboard shows all active warrants. Click on any warrant to:
  • View full details
  • Serve the warrant
  • Update warrant status

BOLO Management

Creating a BOLO

Open BOLO Modal

Click Create BOLO in the utility panel.

Choose Type

Select person, vehicle, or other.

Enter Information

Provide detailed description of what to look out for.

Share with Units

The BOLO will be visible to all active units and dispatch.

Viewing Active BOLOs

Check the Active BOLOs section to see all current BOLOs. You can:
  • View details
  • Update BOLOs you created
  • Remove expired BOLOs

Working with 911 Calls

Responding to Calls

View Active Calls

See all active 911 calls in the Active Calls section.

Self-Assign

Click Assign Self on a call to add yourself to it.

Update Status

As you respond:
  • Update your 10-code (e.g., 10-76 for en route)
  • Add notes to the call
  • Update call description as needed

Close Call

Once resolved, mark yourself as available or close the call.
Dispatch can also assign you to calls. You’ll see the assignment in real-time.

Incident Coordination

For major events, incidents help coordinate multiple units:
  • View assigned incidents in the Active Incidents section
  • Add events and updates to the incident
  • Coordinate with other assigned units
  • View incident timeline and all related calls

Jail Management

Viewing Jailed Citizens

Navigate to Jail

Go to OfficerJail from the navigation.

View List

See all citizens currently in jail with their:
  • Arrest information
  • Remaining time
  • Charges

Releasing Citizens

Select Citizen

Click on a jailed citizen from the list.

Choose Release Type

  • Released - Time served or other reasons
  • Bail Posted - Citizen posted bail

Confirm Release

The citizen will be removed from the jail roster.

Impound Lot

Manage impounded vehicles:

Navigate to Impound Lot

Go to OfficerImpound Lot.

View Impounded Vehicles

See all vehicles currently impounded.

Release Vehicle

Select a vehicle and click Release when authorized.

DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles)

Process DMV requests:
  • Review pending vehicle registrations
  • Approve or deny registrations
  • Update vehicle statuses
  • Process license applications

Bureau of Firearms

Manage weapon registrations:
  • Review weapon registration applications
  • Approve or deny registrations
  • Update weapon statuses
  • Track weapon transfers

Notepad

Use the notepad to keep personal notes during your shift:

Open Notepad

Click Notepad in the utility panel.

Take Notes

Write notes about ongoing situations, citizen information, or anything else.

Save

Notes are automatically saved and persist across sessions.

Panic Button

Use the panic button only in genuine emergency situations where you need immediate assistance.

Activate Panic

Click the Panic Button in the utility panel.

Dispatch Notified

Dispatch and all units receive an immediate alert.

Wait for Response

Backup units will be dispatched to your location.

Department Information

View your department’s information:
  • Department address and contact
  • Department policies
  • Chain of command
  • Department announcements

Supervisor Functions

Supervisors have additional capabilities:

DL Exams

Manage driver’s license examinations:
  • Review pending applications
  • Conduct exams
  • Approve or fail applicants

Citizen Logs

View detailed logs of citizen activities:
  • Search history
  • Records created
  • Interactions with LEO

Best Practices

Keep your 10-code status current so dispatch knows your availability and location.
Provide detailed notes in all records. Include relevant facts, circumstances, and observations.
Always run name and plate searches before taking action to ensure you have accurate information.
Communicate with dispatch when responding to calls, changing locations, or encountering issues.
Always check for active warrants during traffic stops and citizen interactions.
