Once TecniLauncher is installed, you’re a few steps away from playing Minecraft. This guide walks you through logging in, creating a profile, and launching the game for the first time. The whole process takes about five minutes, plus download time for Minecraft itself.
Java is managed automatically by TecniLauncher. You do not need to install Java separately — the launcher downloads the correct version for each Minecraft release.
1

Launch TecniLauncher

Open TecniLauncher from your Start menu or desktop shortcut. On first launch it initializes your data directory and checks for any launcher updates automatically.
2

Choose a login method

TecniLauncher supports three authentication options. For most players, Microsoft or Offline is the right choice:
  • Microsoft login — Sign in with your Microsoft account. Required to play on premium servers and access content tied to your Minecraft purchase.
  • Offline mode — Play without any account. Choose a username and you’re in. Works for singleplayer and LAN sessions, but not for online servers that require a premium account.
  • TecniStudio — A custom account type for TecniStudio platform users.
Select your preferred method and complete the sign-in flow.
3

Create your first profile

Click New Profile to open the profile creation screen. Fill in the following:
  • Name — Any name you like, used to identify the profile in the launcher.
  • Minecraft version — Choose the version you want to play. Stick with the latest stable release if you’re unsure.
  • Loader — Select Vanilla for a standard Minecraft experience with no mod loader. You can create additional profiles with Forge, Fabric, or NeoForge later.
  • RAM allocation — The default is 2 GB. For a smooth Vanilla experience, 2–4 GB is sufficient.
Don’t over-allocate RAM. Minecraft needs memory, but so does your operating system and other apps. A good rule of thumb: leave at least 2–3 GB free for Windows. On a machine with 8 GB total RAM, allocating 4–5 GB to Minecraft is a safe maximum.
Click Save to create the profile.
4

Download and play

Select your new profile from the launcher and click Play. If this is your first time launching that Minecraft version, TecniLauncher will download the game files first — expect around 300 MB for a fresh Vanilla installation. Progress is shown in the launcher.Once the download completes, Minecraft launches automatically. Your profile settings, mods folder, and saves are all stored separately under %APPDATA%\.TecniLauncher\Instances\{profileName}\, so each profile stays isolated.
