System requirements
BD2 Mod Manager is a Windows-only desktop application. Before installing, make sure your system meets the following requirements:| Requirement | Minimum |

BD2 Mod Manager does not support macOS or Linux. It is built with Tauri 2 and targets the Windows WebView2 runtime, which ships with Windows 10/11.

Install steps
Run the installer
Double-click the downloaded
BD2ModManager_x.x.x_x64-setup.exe file.If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, click More info then Run anyway. This warning appears because the binary is not yet signed with an EV certificate.Follow the setup wizard
The installer copies the application files to your user directory (no administrator privileges required) and creates a Start Menu shortcut.Accept the default install location unless you have a reason to change it.
Updating BD2 Mod Manager
By default, BD2 Mod Manager checks for updates automatically when you launch the app (check_for_app_updates is enabled). When an update is available, a notification appears in the app with a link to the new release.
To update manually, download the latest installer from the releases page and run it over your existing installation. Your configuration, staging directory, and mod list are preserved.
