SmartMove lets you save the stops, connections, and routes you use most so you can reach them in one tap. Favorites are stored on your device and sync to the cloud when you are signed in.

Favorite stops

Any stop you have recently searched can be marked as a favorite.

Search for a stop

Use the route search or the departure board search to look up a stop. SmartMove adds it to your recent stops list automatically.

Tap the star icon

In your recent stops list (visible on the home screen and in the Favorites screen), tap the star or heart icon next to a stop name to mark it as a favorite.

Find it in Favorites

Open Account → Favorites (Favoriten). Your favorited stops appear in the Stops section at the top of the list.
When you favorite a stop, SmartMove automatically adds it to your Quick Access items so it is pinned to your home screen as well. To unfavorite a stop, tap the star icon again. It is removed from your favorites and from quick access.

Favorite connections

A connection is a from/to pair — for example, Bolzano → Merano. Connections you search are saved to your recent connections list, and you can mark any of them as favorites.

Search a connection

Enter a departure and destination on the home screen and run a search. The connection is added to your recent connections automatically.

Mark it as a favorite

In your recent connections list, tap the heart icon next to the connection to mark it as a favorite.

Access it instantly

Favorited connections appear in Account → Favorites and are added to quick access. Tap the connection there to pre-fill the route search form and jump straight to results.

Liked routes

Liking a route bookmarks a specific journey — not just a from/to pair, but the full itinerary including the departure time, transport mode, and duration.

Like a result

Tap the heart icon on a result card in the list, or open the route detail view and tap the heart icon there.

Open a liked route

Go to Account → Favorites and tap any liked route to open its full detail view immediately. SmartMove restores the complete itinerary so you can review stops, times, and delays.
Each liked route stores:
  • The from and to stop names
  • The primary transport mode (train, bus, or cable car)
  • The duration of the journey
  • The full itinerary so you can open it and start following it directly
Liked routes are great for journeys you take regularly but at different times of day — bookmark the route once, then open it to check live departure times whenever you need it.

Quick access

Quick access lets you pin stops, lines, or routes to the top of your home screen for instant retrieval. Items appear as chips or cards directly on the home screen so you never need to search for them again. Items are added to quick access automatically when you:
  • Favorite a stop
  • Favorite a connection
You can also manage quick access items directly:
  • To remove a quick access item, open Account → Favorites, find the item in the quick access section, and tap the remove or trash icon. Removing a stop from quick access also removes its favorite flag.
  • Reordering is not currently supported — items appear in the order they were added.

Viewing and managing all favorites

Open the Account tab and tap Favorites (Favoriten) to see everything you have saved in one place. The Favorites screen is divided into three sections:
  1. Liked routes — Full itineraries you have bookmarked, shown with their transport mode icon, from/to names, and duration
  2. Favorite stops — Individual stops marked as favorites, shown with a map pin icon
  3. Favorite connections — From/to pairs you have saved, shown with an arrow between the stop names
Tap any item to open it. Tap the trash icon to remove it permanently.

Route sharing

You can share any route detail view as a short link. The link encodes the full itinerary and can be opened by anyone — the recipient does not need a SmartMove account.

Tap the share icon in the top right corner of the detail view.

Copy or send the link

SmartMove generates a short link in the format /r/:id. Share it via any messaging app, email, or copy it to your clipboard.
The recipient opens the link and sees the full route — including every leg, stop, and time — without needing to sign in.
All favorites work fully offline. Your stops, connections, and liked routes are stored on your device and accessible without an internet connection. They sync to the cloud in the background when you are signed in and online.

Frequently asked questions

There is no hard limit on liked routes or favorited connections. Recent stops are capped at the 10 most recent, so only the 10 stops you have searched most recently can be favorited. Searching a stop again moves it to the top of the list.
Yes. Removing a favorite updates both your local device and your cloud data (if you are signed in). The change syncs immediately.
Not directly — a stop must appear in your recent stops list before you can favorite it. Search for it once and it will appear in your recents, where you can then mark it as a favorite.
