This guide helps you resolve common issues you might encounter when creating your custom intro videos.

Email delivery issues

Email not received

If you haven’t received your video email, follow these troubleshooting steps:
1

Check your spam/junk folder

Automated emails are sometimes flagged as spam. Check your spam, junk, or promotions folder.
If you find the email in spam, mark it as “Not Spam” to ensure future emails reach your inbox.
2

Verify processing time

Ensure enough time has passed for your video to process. Videos are typically delivered within a few hours.Higher resolutions (4K) may take longer than lower resolutions (SD, HD). During peak hours, delivery may take additional time.
3

Confirm your email address

Double-check that you entered your email address correctly when submitting the form. Common typos include:
  • Missing characters (.com vs .co)
  • Transposed letters
  • Wrong domain (gmail vs gmial)
  • Extra spaces
4

Check email filters

If you use email filtering rules, verify they aren’t automatically moving or deleting the message.
5

Wait and retry

If it’s been several hours with no email, check your spam folder first. If still no email, there may have been an issue with the original submission.
If you consistently don’t receive emails, your email provider may be blocking automated messages. Try using a different email address or contact your email administrator.

Video quality issues

Video appears blurry or pixelated

Quality issues are usually related to resolution selection or playback settings, not the generated video itself.
Common causes and solutions:
If you generated an SD video but are viewing on a large screen:Solution: Re-generate the video at a higher resolution (HD or 4K).
Many video players default to lower quality to save bandwidth.Solution:
  • Check your video player’s quality settings
  • On YouTube, manually select 1080p or 4K from the settings gear icon
  • Ensure “Auto” quality isn’t downscaling your video
Some platforms compress videos during upload.Solution:
  • Use 4K source files for platforms that heavily compress
  • Check platform-specific upload guidelines for optimal settings
  • Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter apply heavy compression
Older devices may struggle with high-resolution playback.Solution:
  • Try playing the video on a different device
  • Download the video and play it locally with a media player like VLC
  • Ensure your device supports the resolution you selected

Colors look different than expected

The Last of Us intro style has a specific color palette (muted greens, browns, and warm tones). If colors appear off:
  • Check your display’s color calibration
  • Try viewing on a different monitor or device
  • Ensure your display isn’t in night mode or using a color filter
  • Some video players adjust colors automatically; check player settings
The intro video uses the authentic The Last of Us color grading. The muted, desaturated look is intentional and part of the aesthetic.

Generation and timing issues

Video taking longer than expected

During peak usage times, videos may take longer to process:
  • Late mornings and early evenings (local time zones)
  • Weekends
  • After major gaming events or releases
Typical delays: Add 5-10 minutes to standard processing times during peak hours.
4K videos require significantly more processing power and may take longer to deliver than SD or HD videos.
If you need the video sooner, start with HD and re-generate in 4K later if needed.
Videos are processed in the order received:
  • Your position in the queue affects wait time
  • Multiple users submitting simultaneously can cause delays
  • Be patient; your video will process once it reaches the front of the queue

Error messages on submission

If you receive an error when submitting the form, don’t click submit multiple times. This creates duplicate requests.
Common errors:
Error: “Please enter a valid email address”Solution:
  • Ensure your email follows the format: name@domain.com
  • Remove any spaces before or after the email
  • Avoid special characters in the email field
Error: “Please fill in all required fields”Solution:
  • Check that you’ve entered text in at least one title field
  • Verify you’ve entered an email address
  • Ensure you’ve selected a resolution
Error: “Text exceeds maximum length” (if this occurs)Solution:
  • Shorten your title text
  • Keep text concise (2-5 words per line works best)
  • Remember: shorter text works best for this format
Error: “Unable to connect” or “Network error”Solution:
  • Check your internet connection
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Clear your browser cache
  • Try a different browser

Download issues

Can’t download the video file

1

Check download link

If the link has expired, submit a new request.
2

Verify storage space

Ensure you have enough storage space on your device. Higher resolutions (4K) will require more storage than lower resolutions (SD, HD).
3

Try a different browser

Some browsers handle downloads differently. Try:
  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • Edge
4

Disable browser extensions

Ad blockers or security extensions may interfere with downloads:
  • Temporarily disable extensions
  • Try downloading in incognito/private mode
5

Check firewall/antivirus

Security software may block video downloads:
  • Check your firewall settings
  • Verify antivirus isn’t quarantining the file
  • Whitelist the download domain if necessary

Download incomplete or corrupted

If your video file won’t play after downloading:
  • Verify the file size matches what you expected for the resolution
  • Re-download the file (the original may have been interrupted)
  • Try playing the file with different media players (VLC, Windows Media Player, QuickTime)
  • Check that the file extension is correct (.mp4)
If you consistently receive corrupted files, try downloading on a different device or network to rule out local issues.
