MoltenVR lets you play PCVR games on an Apple Silicon Mac without a Windows PC. Windows VR titles run under Wine with D3D11 translated to Metal via DXMT, and a custom OpenXR runtime captures every frame and streams it at 72 fps over USB or Wi-Fi to the ALVR client on your headset — with full 6DoF head tracking, controllers, thumbsticks, haptics, and game audio all flowing in real time.Documentation Index

How it works
Download and install MoltenVR
Grab the latest
MoltenVR-Preview-vX.Y.Z.zip from GitHub Releases, unzip it, and drag MoltenVR.app to /Applications.Run the setup wizard
Open MoltenVR. The wizard checks your system, creates a managed Wine bottle (WhiskyWine/GPTK), and installs the DXMT graphics layer and OpenXR VR runtime — each in one click.
Install the ALVR client on your headset
Sideload ALVR v20.14.0 onto your Quest (or other headset). This is the companion app that receives the stream.
