Prerequisites
Before you start your first AR session, make sure you have the following in place:- HuellAR installed on your iOS or Android device. See Download HuellAR for information on joining the waitlist and getting the app when it launches.
- At least one pet added to your in-app collection. If you haven’t done this yet, head over to Building Your Pet Collection first, then come back here.
Running Your First Session
Open HuellAR
Tap the HuellAR icon on your home screen to launch the app. The first time you open it, a prompt will appear asking for permission to access your device’s camera. Tap Allow — the camera is essential for the AR experience and the app cannot function without it.
Point the camera at a space
Aim your phone’s camera at the area where you’d like your pet to appear. For the best results, choose a flat surface such as a floor, a large table, or an open outdoor area. Hold the camera steady for a moment while HuellAR scans the environment and maps out the available space.
Select your pet
Once the space is ready, a pet selector will appear on screen. Tap it to open your collection and choose which pet you want to place. If you have multiple pets saved, scroll through the list and tap the one you’d like to see in AR.
Enjoy the moment
Your pet will appear in the scene at life-size scale, anchored to the real-world surface you pointed at. Walk around, change your angle, and experience the feeling of your pet truly being there with you. The AR rendering is designed to blend naturally with your surroundings.
Capture it
Ready to preserve the moment? Use the in-app capture controls to take a photo or record a video of your pet in the AR scene. The capture tools are designed to make it easy to get the perfect shot without interrupting the experience.
