Installation methods

The installer is the simplest way to get Collapse up and running.
Download the installer
Go to the Collapse Releases page and download the latest stable setup file:A preview build is also available if you want early access to new features:
Preview builds may be less stable than stable releases. For everyday use, prefer the stable build.
Run the installer
Double-click the downloaded
.exe file and follow the on-screen prompts. The installer will:- Place Collapse in your chosen installation directory
- Create Start Menu and optional Desktop shortcuts
- Register Collapse for automatic updates via Velopack
First-run setup (OOBE)
When you launch Collapse for the first time, it walks you through an Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) to configure the essentials before you reach the main interface.Welcome screen
Collapse displays a welcome animation followed by the setup start screen. You are prompted to choose a data folder — the directory where Collapse stores its configuration and metadata.Click Choose Folder to select a location, then click Next to continue.
Customization
Before proceeding, the startup screen exposes several initial settings you can configure now or revisit later in App Settings:
- Language — select the display language for the Collapse UI (contributed via Transifex)
- Window size — choose between Normal and Small window profiles
- Preferred CDN — select the content delivery network used for metadata and asset downloads; you can run a latency check to find the fastest option
- App theme — system default, light, or dark
- Custom background — enable a custom background image
- Background audio — toggle background music and set volume
- Background parallax — enable the parallax scroll effect and configure the pixel shift amount (2 px, 4 px, or 8 px)
License agreements
Collapse displays its license agreements and terms in a scrollable viewer. Read each document and click I Accept to proceed.
Select a game and region
Choose the game title and region you want to manage first:
- Select a game title from the dropdown (Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, or Zenless Zone Zero).
- Select the region for that game (Global, SEA, or Bilibili CN, depending on the title).
You can add additional games and regions from the main interface after setup is complete.
