Collapse Launcher gives you direct control over all your HoYoverse game installations from a single interface. You can install new games, switch between regions, move installations to a different drive, and track how long you have played — all without opening a separate launcher.

Installing a game

When a game is not yet installed, the home page shows an Install button in place of the launch button.
1

Select the game and region

Use the game selector at the top of the launcher and choose the region you want to install (for example, Global, SEA, or China).
2

Click Install

Click the Install button on the home page. A folder picker dialog opens so you can choose where to install the game.
You cannot install a game to a drive root (for example, C:\). Choose a subfolder such as D:\Games\GenshinImpact.
3

Monitor the download

The home page shows a progress ring with total and per-file download speed, size transferred, and estimated time remaining. Downloads use the Sophon engine (when available) or the standard package downloader.
You can configure the download thread count and speed limit from the Download Settings button that appears during the download. Reducing thread count may help on slower or unstable connections.
4

Post-install action

After installation completes you can configure a post-install action — such as launching the game automatically, hibernating, restarting, or shutting down the PC — in Collapse settings before starting the download.
If a timeout error occurs during installation, check your connection stability. Changing the download thread count resets your download from 0 and requires you to delete existing download chunks manually.

Switching regions

Each game in Collapse supports multiple regions. Honkai Impact 3rd additionally supports version variants.
Honkai Impact 3rd is available in Global, SEA, and China regions. You can also convert between Steam, Global, and SEA installations using the Game Version Conversion tool (see below).
Genshin Impact is available in Global and China regions. The Open Cache Folder button is hidden for Genshin since it does not use a separate cache system.
Honkai: Star Rail is available in Global and China regions.
Zenless Zone Zero is available in Global and China regions.
To switch region, click the region selector next to the game name in the top navigation area and choose the target region. Collapse reloads the home page for that region.

Moving a game installation

There are two ways to change where a game is stored:

Move game location

Physically moves all game files to a new folder. Use this when you want to relocate the game to a different drive. Select Move Game Location from the game management panel on the home page and pick the destination folder.

Change game location

Points Collapse at an existing installation without moving files. Use this if you have already manually moved or copied the game folder. Select Change Game Location and navigate to the existing folder.
Selecting the same path for Move Game Location is not supported and will produce an error.

Game version conversion (Honkai Impact 3rd)

Honkai Impact 3rd allows converting between the Steam, Global, and SEA versions of the game. This is useful if you want to switch distribution channels without re-downloading the full game. The conversion option appears in the game management panel when Honkai Impact 3rd is selected and your installed version is eligible. Follow the on-screen instructions; Collapse will download only the files that differ between versions.

Launching a game

Click the Start button on the home page to launch the currently selected game and region.
Expand the Custom Startup Arguments field on the home page to pass additional command-line flags to the game executable. This field is available when the game is installed.
The Game Boost toggle (in Game Settings) adjusts process priority settings to improve in-game performance on some systems.
In Game Settings you can enable pre-launch commands (executed before the game starts), post-exit commands (executed after the game closes), and configure a launch delay in milliseconds.
If a game is running, a Stop button appears on the home page. Collapse asks for confirmation before terminating the process.

Playtime tracking

Collapse tracks how long you have played each game and region independently, without relying on any external service. The playtime counter is displayed as a button on the home page. Clicking it opens the playtime flyout, which shows:
StatDescription
Total playtimeCumulative hours and minutes for this game and region
DailyTime played today
WeeklyTime played this week
MonthlyTime played this month
Last sessionDuration of the most recent session
Last playedDate and time of the most recent session

Editing playtime

1

Open the playtime flyout

Click the playtime button on the home page.
2

Click Change Playtime

Enter the corrected hours and minutes in the text fields. Hours are capped at 99,999 and minutes at 999.
3

Save

Click Change to apply. The display updates immediately.
You can also Reset Playtime to zero from the same flyout, or Sync to database to push the local playtime record to Collapse’s optional cloud sync database.
Playtime cannot be edited while the game is running.

Uninstalling a game

Select Uninstall Game from the game management panel on the home page. Collapse asks for confirmation and then removes the installation. The launcher returns to the home page in the not-installed state after completion.
