This guide assumes you have already installed Collapse and completed the first-run setup. If not, start with the Installation page.

Launch Collapse

Open Collapse from your Start Menu shortcut or Desktop shortcut. The home page for your configured game and region is displayed, showing the game’s background artwork, news feed, and action buttons.
You can switch between games and regions at any time using the game selector in the left sidebar.

Select a game region

If you want to manage a different game or region than the one you chose during setup:
  1. Click the game title or region label in the left sidebar.
  2. Use the game title dropdown to select Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, or Zenless Zone Zero.
  3. Use the region dropdown to select the server region (Global, SEA, or Bilibili CN).
The home page background and available options update automatically.

Install or connect a game

Once you have the correct game and region selected, you have two options:

Click Install

On the home page, click the Install button. Collapse prompts you to choose an installation directory.

Choose a directory

Select a folder with enough free space for the game. Collapse displays the estimated download and disk size before you confirm.
Download sizes vary by game and region. Honkai Impact 3rd Global is approximately 20–25 GB; Genshin Impact Global can exceed 70 GB.

Start the download

Click Start Download. Collapse uses multi-session downloading to maximize your bandwidth. Progress is shown in the Download Manager panel, including per-file progress, download speed, and estimated time remaining.

Wait for installation to complete

After the download finishes, Collapse extracts and verifies the game files automatically using multi-thread extraction. The button on the home page changes to Play when the game is ready.

Launch the game

Click Play on the home page. Collapse starts the game client directly.
For Honkai Impact 3rd, you can select the Graphics API (DirectX 11 or DirectX 12) before launching via the dropdown next to the Play button.

Now that the game is running, here is a quick overview of what you can do from the Collapse home page and sidebar:

Game settings

Edit graphics and audio settings for all supported games directly from Collapse, without opening the game.

Game data repair

Scan and repair missing or corrupted game files, and pre-download game caches.

Preload and updates

Pre-download game updates before they go live, and apply delta-patch updates to minimize download sizes.

Background customization

Set a custom background image or video, enable parallax effects, and control background audio.

Add another game or region

To add a second game or region to your Collapse sidebar:
  1. Click the + button at the bottom of the left sidebar.
  2. Select the game title and region you want to add.
  3. Install or link the game as described above.
You can manage as many game–region combinations as you like from the same Collapse window.
