Dumpstarr Database includes eight profiles covering movies, TV shows, anime, and low-priority media. This guide explains what each profile does and helps you pick the right one.

Quick decision guide

You want things to just work. You stream from a phone, browser, smart TV, or any device that doesn’t necessarily support high-bitrate or lossless audio.Recommended profiles:
  • Movies 1080p — Prefers streaming-optimized release groups like BHDStudio and hallowed. No HD audio (TrueHD, DTS-X, etc.) to ensure direct-play compatibility on all devices.
  • Movies 2160p — Same streaming-optimized focus at 4K, with HDR and Dolby Vision. Releases without an HDR fallback are scored negatively to ensure wide playback support.
  • TV 1080p — Balanced quality and file size based on the TRaSH Guides WEB-1080p Alternative profile.
  • TV 2160p — 4K TV with HDR, scored similarly to TV 1080p.
These four profiles are the most popular starting point and are designed to be set-and-forget.

Profile details

All Movie profiles explicitly deny x265 for resolutions lower than 2160p. HD x265 releases are almost always re-encodes rather than original sources. See the TRaSH Guides documentation on x265 HD for the reasoning behind this.If you prefer x265 releases, update the score of the x265 (HD) custom format to 0 on your selected profile in Profilarr.
Tags: Radarr · Streaming Optimized · 1080p Min custom format score: 750Focuses on streaming-optimized sources that require little to no transcoding. Recommended for the average user or anyone who does not use a dedicated streaming box (AppleTV, NVIDIA Shield, etc.).
  • Prefers streaming-optimized release groups like BHDStudio and hallowed.
  • Does not allow HD audio formats (TrueHD, DTS-X, DTS-HD MA) to ensure direct-play compatibility on all devices.
  • Dolby Vision WEB-DL releases are blocked to prevent compatibility issues.
  • Quality ceiling is Bluray-1080p; upgrades are enabled and will continue until score 10000.
Tags: Radarr · Streaming Optimized · 2160p Min custom format score: 1000Same streaming-optimized focus as Movies 1080p, extended to 4K with HDR and Dolby Vision.
  • Prefers streaming-optimized release groups like BHDStudio and hallowed.
  • Dolby Vision releases score 1000; HDR and HDR10+ each score 500, pushing the profile toward the best available HDR format.
  • Releases without an HDR fallback (SDR non-WEB-DL sources) are blocked at -10000 to ensure playability across platforms.
  • Does not allow HD audio formats to maintain direct-play compatibility.
  • Quality ceiling is Bluray-2160p.
Tags: Radarr · 1080p Min custom format score: 750Like Movies 1080p, but with merged source qualities. WEB, WEBRip, and Bluray are treated as a single quality tier, so higher-quality WEB releases are preferred over lower-tier Bluray releases when scoring supports it. This typically results in higher-quality audio, higher video bitrates, and files approximately 30% larger.
  • Falls back to streaming-optimized groups like BHDStudio and hallowed when top-tier releases aren’t available.
  • Allows HD audio formats (TrueHD, DTS-X, DTS-HD MA) only when the source is WEB-DL.
  • HD audio from non-WEB-DL sources is blocked to avoid upconverted or mismatched audio tracks.
Tags: Radarr · 2160p Min custom format score: 1000The HQ equivalent for 4K movies. Merges WEB, WEBRip, and Bluray into a single quality tier at 2160p.
  • Prefers 4K releases with HDR and Dolby Vision.
  • Falls back to streaming-optimized groups like BHDStudio and hallowed.
  • Allows HD audio formats only from WEB-DL sources.
  • Releases without HDR fallback are blocked entirely — not just scored negatively.
  • Dolby Vision scores 1000; HDR and HDR10+ each score 500.
Tags: Sonarr · 1080p Min custom format score: 0Based on the TRaSH Guides WEB-1080p (Alternative) profile, focusing on balanced quality and file size for TV shows.
  • Scores WEB Tier groups from 1700 (Tier 01) down to 1500 (Tier 05), with Bluray tiers starting at 1500 and descending.
  • Streaming sources (AMZN, ATVP, DSNP, NF, HBO, HMAX, and 15+ others) each score 75 as a quality boost.
  • minCustomFormatScore is 0 — the profile relies on release group scoring to drive selection.
  • Includes Sonarr-specific fixes: Bad Multis, Incorrect Source, TBBT Banned Groups, Scrubs fixes, Whose Line fix.
  • Quality ceiling is WEB 1080p; upgrades are enabled.
Tags: Sonarr · 2160p Min custom format score: 0Based on the TRaSH Guides WEB-1080p (Alternative) profile, extended to 4K TV with HDR and Dolby Vision.
  • Includes WEB and Bluray tiers for both 2160p and 1080p, so the profile will fall back gracefully when 4K isn’t available.
  • Dolby Vision scores 1000; HDR and HDR10+ each score 500.
  • UHD Streaming Boost and HD Streaming Boost each score 75 on top of base streaming source scores.
  • Same TV-specific fixes as TV 1080p: Bad Multis, Incorrect Source, TBBT Banned Groups, Scrubs fixes, Whose Line fix.
  • Quality ceiling is WEB 2160p; upgrades are enabled.
Tags: Anime · Radarr · Sonarr · TRaSH Min custom format score: 0Based on the TRaSH Guides Anime profile, focusing on media that has Dual Audio (English alongside the original language).
  • Grabs between SDTV and Bluray-1080p.
  • Eight Anime Tier groups score from 1400 (Tier 1) down to 700 (Tier 8), followed by Anime WEB tiers.

  • To make Dual Audio mandatory, raise the Anime Dual Audio score to 500.
  • To prefer Japanese-only, remove the Anime Dual Audio format and set the language filter to Must Include — Japanese.
  • Dubs Only, raw releases (Anime Raws), VOSTFR, and LQ groups are blocked.
Tags: 1080p · LQ Min custom format score: 0Designed for SIDCA — “Sh*t I Don’t Care About.” Use this profile for low-priority media where you want to save as much storage space as possible.
  • SIDCA Groups score 300 and SIDCA Fallback Groups score 200 — expect MeGusta releases the vast majority of the time.
  • WEB Tier 01–05 are scored at very low values (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) — these rarely override the SIDCA group preference.
  • x265 (HD) is scored at 50 to prefer x265 encodes for smaller file sizes. Note: x265 and AV1 codecs may require transcoding on devices that don’t support them natively.
  • AV1 is allowed (unlike all other profiles, which block it at -10000).
  • Group Missing is blocked at -10000 to avoid releases with no identifiable group.
The Movies and TV profiles are loosely based on the SQP-1 Alternative (Radarr) and WEB-2160p/1080p Alternative (Sonarr) profiles from TRaSH Guides. If you want to understand the underlying structure in depth, or are looking for remux-focused alternatives, see the TRaSH Guides documentation.
