The Anime 1080p profile targets both Radarr and Sonarr and is based on the TRaSH Guides Anime Profile. It uses a tiered release group system specific to the anime community and is configured by default to prefer Dual Audio releases (English + original language).
Based on the TRaSH Guides Anime Profile, focusing on media that has Dual Audio.
  • This profile will grab between a SDTV - 1080p Bluray file.
  • You will be preferring Dual Audio media (ie including English along with original language). If you’d prefer to only have the original language (Japanese), remove the Dual Audio format and set you language settings in this profile to Advanced - Must Include - Japanese.
  • If you’d prefer to always grab Dual Audio releases, change the Dual Audio format score from 101 to 500

Anime tier system

The profile scores release groups using two separate tier tracks — Bluray/encode groups and WEB groups — reflecting the anime release scene’s structure.

Anime Tier 11400
Anime Tier 21300
Anime Tier 31200
Anime Tier 41100
Anime Tier 51000
Anime Tier 6900

Anime WEB Tier 1600
Anime WEB Tier 2500
Anime WEB Tier 3400
TRaSH WEB Tier 01350
Anime WEB Tier 4300

TRaSH WEB Tier 02150

Dual Audio configuration

Dual Audio is configured by default to prefer rather than require English + original language audio:
Custom FormatScoreBehavior
Anime Dual Audio101Prefers dual audio — scored above Anime WEB Tier 6 (100) but below all named tiers
Multi-Audio101Treats multi-audio releases the same as dual audio
Multi-Sub101Boosts releases with multiple subtitle tracks
Uncensored101Prefers uncensored versions
Dubs Only-10000Blocks releases that contain only dubbed audio with no original track
To make Dual Audio mandatory rather than preferred, change the Anime Dual Audio score from 101 to 500. This puts dual audio above Anime WEB Tier 2 (500), so the profile will not settle for a single-audio release if a dual audio version is available. To switch to original language only (Japanese), remove the Anime Dual Audio format entirely and set the profile’s language setting to Advanced - Must Include - Japanese.

Streaming source scoring

Anime streaming platform sources are scored to indicate release quality. Higher scores go to platforms known for better video quality:

Version tags (v0–v4)

Anime releases from fansub and encode groups often include version tags indicating revision history:
Version tags indicate how many times a group has revised a release. Higher versions generally indicate corrections to subtitles, encoding errors, or sync issues made after the initial release.
TagScoreMeaning
v0-51Pre-release or draft — scored negatively to avoid grabbing unfinished releases
v11First official release
v22First revision
v33Second revision
v44Third revision — highest confidence in quality
A release with no version tag is treated as v1 by default in most cases.
