For most setups, start with Movies 1080p or Movies 2160p for Radarr, and TV 1080p or TV 2160p for Sonarr. These profiles are designed to be set-and-forget with no manual tuning required.
1

Install or access Profilarr

Profilarr is the tool that reads the Dumpstarr Database and pushes your quality profiles and custom formats to Radarr and Sonarr via their APIs.If you haven’t set up Profilarr yet, follow the Profilarr installation guide before continuing.Once installed, open the Profilarr web interface in your browser.
2

Add the Dumpstarr Database repository

In Profilarr, navigate to the Database section and add the Dumpstarr Database as a repository source.Use this GitHub URL:
https://github.com/Dumpstarr/Database
Profilarr will clone the repository and make all profiles and custom formats available to import. Release group tiers sync automatically from Dictionarry on a daily schedule, so your tier lists stay up to date without any manual work.
3

Select and import a profile

Browse the available profiles and select the one that matches your media type and resolution. See Profile Selection if you’re unsure which to pick.Recommended profiles for most users:
ProfileMediaminCustomFormatScore
Movies 1080pRadarr750
Movies 2160pRadarr1000
TV 1080pSonarr0
TV 2160pSonarr0
Import the profile into Profilarr. This loads the quality profile definition, all custom format scores, and quality group ordering into Profilarr’s local configuration.
For TV show profiles (TV 1080p and TV 2160p), the minCustomFormatScore is set to 0 by design — release group scores drive selection, not a minimum threshold. However, you should configure a delay profile in Sonarr to avoid grabbing low-quality releases that appear immediately after a show airs. A delay of 60 minutes is a reasonable default. See Sonarr delay profile settings for setup instructions.

Apply to Radarr or Sonarr

With the profile imported, use Profilarr to push the configuration to your Radarr or Sonarr instance.
  1. In Profilarr, go to Instances and ensure your Radarr or Sonarr instance is connected.
  2. Select the profile you imported and choose Push to Instance.
  3. Profilarr will create or update the quality profile and all associated custom formats in your *arr app via its API.
Once pushed, open Radarr or Sonarr and assign the new quality profile to your library items (or set it as the default for new additions). Your *arr app will now automatically grab and upgrade releases according to the Dumpstarr scoring system.
