My AskAI keeps its limits simple: there are no content limits on paid plans (no caps on pages, files, or words in your knowledge base), and the only limit you need to think about is your monthly conversation allowance. This page explains how conversation limits work, what happens when you go over them, and how to monitor your usage in real time.

Content Limits

On all paid My AskAI plans, there are no limits on the amount of training content you can add — no page caps, no file count limits, and no word or token limits. You can add as many webpages, documents, and other content sources as your knowledge base requires.
Yes — individual questions submitted to the AI agent can be up to 400 characters in length.

Conversation Limits

Conversation limits are applied at the account level across all channels and all visitors — not per individual user or per agent.

How Conversations Are Counted

Because My AskAI works across many channels, counting varies slightly by integration type:

Example: A ticket with 10 user messages would count as 5 conversation credits (1 for the first reply + 0.5 × 9 for each subsequent reply).

During your 30-day free trial there is no conversation limit. Flex overage charges only apply once you are on a paid plan.

Do Unused Conversations Roll Over?

No. Unused conversation credits do not roll over to the following month. Your allowance resets monthly on the same date you originally signed up (which may differ from your billing renewal date).

What Happens When You Exceed Your Limit?

My AskAI uses Flex pricing — your AI agent will never stop responding to customers mid-month just because you’ve reached your conversation limit. Instead, additional conversations beyond your plan’s allowance are charged automatically at the per-conversation overage rate for your plan. Overage charges appear on your next month’s invoice, or are settled at the time of cancellation.
Flex pricing cannot be disabled. If you are concerned about overage costs, monitor your usage dashboard regularly and consider upgrading to a plan with a higher conversation allowance.
Flex pricing cannot currently be disabled, and there is no way to hard-cap conversations at your plan limit. If managing costs is a concern, upgrading to a higher plan tier is the most effective approach. You can also contact the My AskAI team via chat to discuss your options.
There is currently no mechanism to limit conversations originating from specific team members or internal users. If this is a requirement, contact the team via chat to discuss your use case.

Monitoring Your Usage

You can view your real-time conversation usage at any time:

Open Account Settings

Navigate to Account Settings in your My AskAI dashboard.

View Usage

On the main Account Settings page you will see a summary of how many conversations you have consumed in the current billing period, along with any projected overage costs.

Check the Cost Estimator

After 7 days on a paid plan with a connected helpdesk, a cost estimator will appear in the Billing section showing your projected monthly spend based on actual usage patterns.
Regularly reviewing your usage dashboard helps you anticipate costs and decide whether to upgrade your plan before the end of the billing cycle.

How to Increase Your Limits

Upgrade Your Plan

The most straightforward way to increase your conversation allowance is to upgrade to a higher plan tier. Go to Account Settings → Billing → “Manage subscription on Stripe” to change plans.
