Read the Instructions
Before the exam opens, you are presented with the Exam Instructions page. Read it carefully — these rules govern your entire session. Before you begin, the platform states the following standard conditions:
- AI proctoring — This exam is AI-proctored: your webcam and microphone will be monitored for the full duration.
- Fullscreen requirement — The exam runs in fullscreen mode. Exiting fullscreen is logged and may affect your integrity score.
- Restricted actions — Copying, pasting, right-clicking, and printing are disabled during the exam.
- Server-controlled timer — The timer cannot be paused. The exam auto-submits when time expires.
- Network requirement — Ensure a stable internet connection and a charged device before starting.
Device Check
After reading the instructions, the Device check section confirms that your camera and microphone are accessible. Each device shows one of three permission states:
If either device shows Blocked, a warning banner reads: “Camera or microphone access appears blocked. Please allow access in your browser settings, then reload this page.” Camera and microphone access is required to begin a proctored exam — you will not be able to start until both are accessible.A live camera preview is shown so you can confirm your webcam is functioning and that your face is clearly visible and well-lit before proceeding.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Allowed | Browser permission is already granted; the device is ready |
| Blocked | Permission has been explicitly denied in your browser |
| Will prompt on start | The browser will ask for permission when you click Start Exam |
Agree and Start
At the bottom of the instructions and device check screen, check the agreement checkbox:
“I have read the instructions and agree to be AI-proctored for the duration of this exam.”Once checked, the Start Exam button becomes active. Click it to launch the exam. The browser will immediately enter fullscreen mode and the exam timer will begin counting down from the server.
