Desktop mode is the most ambitious environment Crafted Gamz offers. Rather than presenting a flat grid of links or a simple launcher, it builds a fully self-contained workspace directly inside the browser — one that draws unmistakable visual and structural inspiration from macOS. You get a persistent desktop surface with floating windows, a bottom dock, a searchable launcher, an app store, and a top-bar status strip, all rendered without ever leaving the tab. The goal is not just aesthetics: Desktop mode is designed to function as its own operating environment, one that you can set up once, return to repeatedly, and rely on for browsing, gaming, and general productivity within the platform.Documentation Index

Core Components
Desktop mode is composed of several distinct layers that work together to create the OS-like experience. Desktop Surface and Windows The primary canvas is a desktop surface onto which application windows are placed. Each window is a draggable, resizable container that holds a game, an internet app, a utility, or a platform tool. You can stack multiple windows, move them freely across the surface, and arrange your workspace however you prefer. Dock Along the bottom of the screen sits the dock — a row of icons representing your pinned and currently running apps. Pinned apps stay in the dock whether they are open or not, providing one-click access to your most-used content. Running apps that are not pinned also appear here while active, so you always have a clear picture of what is open. Launcher The launcher provides a fast, searchable view of every app available to you — not just the ones you have pinned. Opening it presents a full grid or list of installed apps, and a search field lets you jump directly to anything by name. The launcher is the quickest way to reach something you do not have docked. App Store The app store is built into Desktop mode and serves as the central place to discover, browse, and install new apps. It organizes content into categories — games, internet apps, and utilities — so you can browse by type or search for something specific. Apps installed from the store immediately appear in the launcher and can be pinned to the dock. Top-Bar Widgets Running across the very top of the desktop is a status bar that surfaces at-a-glance information: your account status, platform statistics, current network state, and live weather. It echoes the menu bar found in macOS and gives Desktop mode the visual completeness that distinguishes it from a simpler launcher.Window Behavior
Desktop mode supports a full range of window management actions that make it practical to use multiple apps at the same time.- Fullscreen — Any window can be expanded to fill the entire desktop surface, hiding the dock and top bar for an immersive view. This is especially useful for games.
- Minimize — Minimizing a window removes it from view without closing the app. The window can be restored at any time from the dock or the launcher.
- Restore — A minimized or resized window can be snapped back to its previous size and position in a single action.
- Multi-Window — Multiple windows can be open and visible at the same time. You can drag them side by side, overlap them, or stack them however your workflow demands. The dock shows a running indicator for every active app regardless of whether it is currently visible.
Account Persistence
One of Desktop mode’s most practical qualities is that it remembers your setup. When you are signed in, your desktop environment is saved to your account and restored the next time you return. This includes:- Your preferred environment — Desktop mode is remembered as your chosen mode, so the platform opens there on your next visit.
- Installed apps — Every app you have installed from the store is retained, so you do not have to reinstall anything after coming back.
- Pinned dock items — Your dock layout is saved exactly as you left it, preserving the order and selection of pinned apps.
- Open tabs and windows — The state of your session can be carried forward, so your workspace does not vanish between visits.
- Settings and preferences — Display preferences, widget configuration, and other local settings are tied to your account and sync across sessions.
