Crafted Gamz exposes a unified set of configuration options that follow you across all three modes — Website, Desktop, and Browser. Settings are split between account-backed preferences, which sync when you are signed in, and local preferences, which are stored in the browser and apply to guest or offline scenarios. Whether you are customizing your environment, switching your proxy region, or adjusting your visual theme, every setting is accessible without leaving the platform.

Accessing Settings

Settings can be reached from any mode, and each mode provides its own natural entry point.
In Website mode, settings are accessible from the main navigation. Look for the account or settings link in the site header. From there you can manage your account details, adjust preferences, and control how the platform behaves when you return.

Account Settings

When you are signed in, Crafted Gamz links your preferences and state to your account. Account settings include:
  • Sign-in provider — you can sign in with Google, GitHub, or email and password. Your current provider is shown in account settings, and the platform displays your profile information from your chosen identity source.
  • Profile — your display name and account details as synced from your sign-in provider.
  • Synced data management — account-backed data — including bookmarks, pins, open tabs, and environment preferences — can be reviewed and managed from this section. Clearing synced data resets the platform to a fresh state under your account without requiring you to sign out.
Using an account-backed sign-in method (Google, GitHub, or email) lets your settings, bookmarks, pinned apps, and preferred environment persist across every device and browser session. Guest mode does not offer this continuity.

Environment Preferences

Crafted Gamz remembers which mode you prefer and returns you to it on subsequent visits. Environment preferences include:
  • Preferred mode on login — set whether the platform opens in Website, Desktop, or Browser mode when you sign in. This preference is stored with your account and respected on every device.
  • Onboarding progress reset — if you want to revisit the platform’s onboarding flow — for example after a major update or when helping a new user — you can reset your onboarding progress from this section without affecting other account data.

Browser Mode Settings

Browser mode has its own set of configuration options that apply specifically to the in-browser proxy experience:
  • Proxy server and region — select which proxy server and geographic region your traffic routes through. Switching regions can improve performance or help access region-specific content. Changes take effect immediately for new navigations.
  • Theme — toggle between dark and light mode for the browser interface. The theme applies to the browser chrome, tab bar, address bar, and internal pages.
  • Background preset — choose from a curated set of background presets to personalize the browser environment. Available presets include Minimal, Aurora, Dusk, Ember, Ocean, Ash, and Rose. Each preset changes the visual texture of the browser backdrop while keeping the interface fully functional.
For a full walkthrough of the Browser mode visual system, see the Browser Themes guide.

Local Preferences

Some preferences are stored locally in the browser rather than synced to your account. Local preferences apply in situations where account sync is not available — for example, if you are browsing as a guest or if the network is offline:
  • Local preferences persist across page reloads within the same browser session.
  • They are browser-specific: a preference set on one device will not transfer to another.
  • Clearing your browser’s site data will remove local preferences.
Local storage is primarily used for lightweight UI state, fallback theme preferences, and settings that do not require a sign-in to be meaningful.
Guest mode settings are stored locally and will be lost when the browser session ends or site data is cleared. If you want your configuration to persist, sign in with Google, GitHub, or email to back your preferences with your account.

PWA Installation

Crafted Gamz is a Progressive Web App. You can install it to your device’s home screen or app shelf directly from the browser — no app store required. To install Crafted Gamz as a PWA:
1

Open Crafted Gamz in your browser

Navigate to the Crafted Gamz platform in Chrome, Edge, or another PWA-compatible browser.
2

Look for the install prompt

The browser will display an install prompt in the address bar or as a banner. On Chrome, look for the install icon (a monitor with a down arrow) in the right side of the address bar.
3

Confirm the installation

Click Install in the prompt. Crafted Gamz will be added to your device with the name Crafted Gamz (short name: C-Gamz).
4

Launch from your home screen or app shelf

The installed PWA opens in standalone mode — without browser navigation chrome — giving it the feel of a native app. On Chromebooks, it appears in the launcher alongside other apps.
The PWA manifest specifies display: standalone, a black background color (#000000), and a white theme color (#ffffff). The installed app uses the full Crafted Gamz icon at both 192×192 and 512×512 resolutions, ensuring a sharp appearance across all device densities and contexts.
