Yeast ‘n Feast adds a range of naturally generating features to vanilla biomes: three new tree species, patches of wild crops and harvestable bushes, and a Tavern structure. Every feature uses Forge’s biome modifier system, so generation is consistent and data-pack friendly.

Trees

All three mod trees spawn at roughly 1-in-25 chunk rarity and require a valid sapling survival position (solid ground, no water). Each can also be grown from its corresponding sapling by planting on grass or dirt and applying bone meal.

Maple Tree

Maple Trees generate in the Forest biome alongside oak and birch. The trunk is built from Maple Logs with a fancy spherical foliage shape composed of Maple Leaves (MapleLeavesBlock). Maple Leaves can be attached to a Tree Tap to collect Maple Syrup.

Maple Sapling

Plant on grass or dirt to grow a Maple Tree. Supports bone meal. Can be displayed in a flower pot (potted_maple_sapling).

Maple Leaves

Custom leaf block (MapleLeavesBlock). Required anchor point for the Tree Tap.

Lemon Tree

Lemon Trees generate in Plains biomes. The trunk is Oak Log, and the canopy uses a weighted mix of Lemon Tree Leaves (common) and Flowering Lemon Tree Leaves (rare, ~1-in-9 leaf blocks). The flowering stage uses the LemonLeavesBlock custom class and carries an AGE property — mature flowering leaves can drop Lemons.

Lemon Sapling

Grows into a Lemon Tree. Supports bone meal. Potted variant available (potted_lemon_sapling).

Lemon Tree Leaves

Standard non-flowering leaf block.

Flowering Lemon Tree Leaves

Rare flowering variant. Mature leaves drop Lemons when broken.

Hawthorn Tree

Hawthorn Trees generate in the Forest biome. Like Lemon Trees, the trunk is Oak Log and the canopy mixes Hawthorn Tree Leaves (common) with Flowering Hawthorn Tree Leaves (rare, ~1-in-9 blocks). Hawthorn uses a cherry-style foliage placer, giving it a wider, drooping canopy shape. Flowering leaves drop Hawthorn Berries when broken.

Hawthorn Sapling

Grows into a Hawthorn Tree. Supports bone meal. Potted variant available (potted_hawthorn_sapling).

Hawthorn Tree Leaves

Standard non-flowering leaf block.

Flowering Hawthorn Tree Leaves

Rare flowering variant. Mature leaves drop Hawthorn Berries when broken.

Wild crop patches

Wild plants generate as small random patches (rarity 1-in-10 chunks) and act as the primary way to obtain ingredients before you establish a farm. Breaking a wild plant drops its corresponding seed or ingredient item.

Thistle is implemented as a RenewablePlantBlock, meaning it can regrow over time after being harvested — similar to how sweet berry bushes regrow. A potted variant (potted_thistle) is also available for decorating interiors.

Berry bushes

Elderberry Bush and Rose Hips Bush behave identically to the vanilla Sweet Berry Bush: they grow through age stages, deal contact damage at full growth, and drop their berries when broken or right-clicked at max age.

Both bushes generate at max age (age 3) in the world, so you can harvest them immediately on discovery.

Structures

Yeast ‘n Feast adds the Tavern structure to world generation. Taverns house a Tavern Keeper villager, who uses a Keg as a workstation and offers trades for mod-specific brewed goods. Explore the world to find a Tavern, or check the data/yeastnfeast/worldgen/structure/tavern.json configuration for placement details.

Potted saplings reference

All three mod saplings and Thistle have decorative flower-pot variants that can be placed on any surface.
