Yeast ‘n Feast introduces two custom mob effects tied exclusively to its feast dishes, alongside three vanilla effects granted by its meads. Knowing when to eat a bowl dish versus a plate dish — and which mead to bring — is the difference between a comfortable adventure and a dangerous one.Documentation Index

Custom effects
Overfed
Overfed is a beneficial effect with a warm yellow colour (#DCD789). It is granted for 4 minutes (4800 ticks) by all bowl feast dishes.
What it does: Overfed prevents food exhaustion from reducing your saturation while the effect is active. The mechanic works by cancelling out exhaustion buildup each tick, except when your character is healing from natural regeneration (food level 18 or above while hurt). You can still eat food normally while Overfed is active — the effect does not lock your hunger bar.
Attribute modifier: Overfed applies a MOVEMENT_SPEED modifier of −10% (MULTIPLY_TOTAL). You move slightly slower while full — a fair trade for the saturation lock.

Vigorous
Vigorous is a beneficial effect with a soft green colour (#90C19A). It is granted for 4 minutes (4800 ticks) by all plate feast dishes.
What it does: Vigorous increases your maximum health and also increases healing received. The health increase comes from a MAX_HEALTH attribute modifier of +6.0 (ADDITION) — in Minecraft’s health system, 2 health points equal 1 heart, so this adds 3 extra hearts to your health bar for the duration.
Attribute modifier: MAX_HEALTH +6 (addition) — equivalent to 3 extra hearts.

Milk Bottle
The Milk Bottle is a counter to harmful mob effects. Unlike a standard bucket of milk — which removes all effects at once — the Milk Bottle removes one random harmful (non-beneficial) effect. Beneficial effects such as Overfed, Vigorous, and mead buffs are never removed.Strategy tips
When to eat bowl dishes (Overfed)
When to eat bowl dishes (Overfed)
Eat a bowl dish before long sessions of mining, building, or farming where you want your saturation to last as long as possible. The 10% speed reduction is barely noticeable during stationary work. Avoid bowl dishes immediately before combat where mobility matters.
When to eat plate dishes (Vigorous)
When to eat plate dishes (Vigorous)
Eat a plate dish before entering a dungeon, fighting a boss, or exploring dangerous biomes. The 3 extra hearts give you a meaningful buffer. Time your meal so Vigorous is active when you first engage — the 4-minute window is enough for most encounters.
Combining effects
Combining effects
Overfed and Vigorous cannot both be active at the same time unless you eat a bowl dish and a plate dish back-to-back (both last 4 minutes). Consider pairing a plate dish with a Sweet or Floral Mead: Vigorous adds health and the mead adds damage reduction or regeneration on top.
Removing unwanted effects
Removing unwanted effects
The Milk Bottle only removes harmful (non-beneficial) effects, so you cannot use it to shed Overfed’s speed penalty deliberately. If you want to end Overfed early, you will need to wait for it to expire. Use Milk Bottles primarily for clearing poison, weakness, or other debuffs from enemies.
