GPSpedia includes a dark color theme that reduces screen brightness and improves readability in low-light environments.

Enabling dark mode

1

Open the side menu

Tap the hamburger icon in the top-left corner to open the side menu.
2

Toggle Modo Oscuro

Locate the Modo Oscuro toggle near the bottom of the menu and switch it on.The interface switches to the dark theme immediately — no page reload is required.
To return to the light theme, open the side menu again and switch the Modo Oscuro toggle off.

Persistent preference

Your dark mode setting is saved in your browser’s localStorage. The next time you open GPSpedia — even after closing the browser or restarting your device — the app loads with the same theme you last selected. This preference is stored per browser and per device. If you use GPSpedia on multiple devices, you will need to set the preference separately on each one.

App logo in dark mode

When dark mode is active, the app logo in the header switches to a version optimized for dark backgrounds. The logo reverts to the standard version when you turn dark mode off.
Dark mode is particularly useful during field installations in vehicles at night or in poorly lit garages. Enabling it before heading to a job site reduces eye strain when referencing cut point images and wiring diagrams.
